Lexi privacy policy

Guest words, lesson progress and preferences are saved on this device. Signing in can import your guest words into your account. Account data is cached so you can practise offline. Signing out keeps an account-specific cache; deleting your account clears its local data after the server confirms deletion.

When you sign in with Apple or Google, Supabase handles your account and stores your profile, photo, word lists, learning progress and room data. Members can see shared words, your room name/photo and room participation. Your personal answers and review schedule are not shown to other members. Share only information you want those members to see.

Online word lookup sends the words you look up to Free Dictionary API and Wiktionary. Translation sends text and the language pair to MyMemory. These services receive normal network information such as your IP address. Manual entry and practice with saved content remain available without AI.

AI is optional and requires your permission in Settings. Lexi sends words, definitions, examples, requested topics, word-list names and relevant learning history to OpenAI through the Lexi server to generate suggestions and exercises. Meaning search may also use web search.

Starting voice input sends microphone audio to OpenAI; transcripts and extracted words are processed to prepare your draft. Lexi saves draft words locally for recovery, not raw audio or a full conversation transcript. AI output can be wrong: review it before saving.

Turning AI off in Settings stops future AI requests and closes active voice sessions through the service. It does not erase information already processed by providers. Provider retention and processing are governed by their policies; Lexi does not promise zero retention.

Lexi uses Sentry for crash reports and technical diagnostics on Apple devices. Reports can contain device, operating-system and app information. Default personally identifiable information collection is disabled. Lexi does not use advertising or cross-app tracking.

Choose Delete account in Settings while signed in. You will review private spaces to delete and choose a remaining member to own each shared room or word list. Shared words, earned garden items, points and named trees stay with the other members. Your profile, photo and private learning records are removed.

Deletion requires a connection. Provider logs and backups may be retained under their own retention schedules. An anonymous deletion receipt lets your device finish cleanup if the connection is lost. If an Apple sign-in token cannot be recovered, you can still delete your account and remove Lexi from Sign in with Apple in Apple Settings.

Account records are kept while your account is active. You can delete words or request account deletion. Local guest data remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall the app; copies in device backups follow your backup settings. Shared content retained for other members is explained above.

Support correspondence is kept for handling your request and necessary follow-up. Operational logs and backups can remain under our providers’ retention schedules. Providers may process information outside your country; contact us for details about the providers and safeguards relevant to your account.

Account data is used to provide the features you request. Optional AI processing requires your consent, which you can withdraw in Settings. Diagnostics help us maintain the reliability and security of the app.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your personal data, or object to processing. Contact support@k-tech-systems.com. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

This policy describes the Lexi app. This website has separate privacy choices for its Google measurement tag. Rejecting optional cookies does not necessarily stop limited cookieless measurement signals. Use Privacy choices in the footer to change your selection.
