Unreconciled (○)
Newly entered or not yet checked against a statement.
Confirm that Money Tracker agrees with a bank, card, savings, or loan statement for a particular date.
Clearance states:
Newly entered or not yet checked against a statement.
Matched with the financial institution but not yet included in a completed reconciliation.
Checked and accepted as part of a completed statement-balance review.
Retained in history but excluded from normal totals.
Reconciliation is most useful for accounts that issue statements. Cash accounts normally do not need it. For other accounts, choose the initial state you want new transactions to use.
New transactions are entered as Unreconciled when that is the account's selected initial state.
The app warns before an older or reconciled entry is changed because it can affect a completed statement balance.
Use Quick reconciliation only after you have separately verified specific entries.
It does not check a statement's starting balance, ending balance, or zero difference. Use the complete process for a full statement review.
Use Update balance only for an adjustment you understand. It should not replace finding a missing entry, duplicate, or transfer.
